The growth of my business with friends…

Rebecca Thompson has been one of my clients who has always been there to lend a hand when needed. Not only is Rebecca a client, but she is also one of my friends whom I went to middle school with. When I started to get into photography, Rebecca was a huge help when it came to having someone to practice with. I can recall many times where she would help me grow my portfolio.

One of the first moments I took photos of Rebecca was on a parking garage in downtown Greensboro. Some might view the parking garage as an unlikely spot for a photo shoot, but once you reach the top, the view is breathtaking and perfect for photography. In the photo below, Rebecca posed exceptionally well. Since this is one of my older photos, the quality is not as good as I did not have much experience with editing. However, looking back at it now, it doesn't look too bad. The aesthetic of this photo gives a grainy feeling that adds to its charm.

As I continued to develop my photography skills, Rebecca and I returned to the parking garage to shoot more photos and help build my portfolio. Despite the rain, we were undeterred and headed straight back to the same spot. To my surprise, the photos came out much better than I had expected. They were crisp and the editing I applied made them stand out and pop. This experience motivated me to get out there and explore more. If I could produce high-quality photos with just a few budget lenses, I realized that I could achieve anything with photography.

The most recent photoshoot I did with Rebecca and her boyfriend, Ethan, was at a lake in High Point. I chose High Point because I had another event to attend right after. This photoshoot holds a special place for me. It was my first couple photoshoot, and the end results were amazing. When I looked back at the photos I took that evening, I was impressed by how they turned out. They looked like something you would see on a wedding invitation. Throughout the shoot, there were many moments that made all of us smile. The important thing about these photos is the memories that were made. With Rebecca and Ethan in the photos, it captures a couple that truly loves each other and it will be recorded in the history books. I chose the photo below because it truly shows how in love they are.
